What we collect
We collect your email address when you sign in (via magic link). When vendors upload W‑9 documents on your behalf, we store those files securely.
How we use your information
- Authentication: Your email is used to sign you in and identify your account.
- Notifications: We email you when a vendor opens a link or uploads a document.
- Vendor emails: We send W‑9 request and reminder emails to the vendor addresses you provide.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Document storage & security
W‑9 forms contain sensitive information (SSN/EIN). All files are stored in a private, encrypted storage bucket. Files are never publicly accessible. Downloading a file requires an authenticated, time-limited signed URL.
We never extract or store SSNs, EINs, or other form fields from uploaded documents. We store only the document file itself.
Data retention
Documents and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@w9nudge.com.
Third-party services
We rely on the following services to operate:
- Supabase — database and file storage
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Stripe — payment processing (Pro plan)
- Vercel — hosting and serverless functions
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
