Acceptance
By using W‑9 Nudge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the service does
W‑9 Nudge is a tool to request, track, and store W‑9 tax forms from contractors. The service sends emails on your behalf and stores uploaded documents securely.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for verifying the identity of your vendors.
- You must have a legitimate business need to request W‑9 forms.
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including 1099 filing obligations.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of W‑9 documents you collect through the service.
Document handling
We store uploaded W‑9 documents on your behalf in private, encrypted storage. We do not review, extract data from, or modify uploaded documents. We use email to send vendor upload links and reminders on your behalf.
Payment
The Pro plan is billed at $49/month or $441/year via Stripe. You can cancel any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access.
Limitation of liability
W‑9 Nudge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this service, including but not limited to missed deadlines, incorrect filings, or data loss.
Not tax or legal advice
W‑9 Nudge does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. The service is a document collection tool only. Consult a qualified tax professional for advice regarding W‑9 forms, 1099 filing, and other tax matters.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
